Fall Quarter 2021

The goal of this quarter will be for each student to publish a popular science article in the neuroscience communication website Knowing Neurons (https://knowingneurons.com/). Knowing Neurons was created to promote accessible neuroscience education by graduate students, many of whom were trained by UCLA’s NSIDP. Articles typically highlight and break down recent advances in neuroscience, as well as the broader implications of the existing science.

The process of submitting an article for publication will be structured through an introductory round-table discussion of popular neuroscience articles, workshops on general science writing and peer-editing, and group feedback sessions.
